Had some time between projects so went for something more than just another character. Had just see 'Rogue' (killer croc flick) and wanted to do something along the same lines. This guy has found one of his party, his remains being eaten buy little slung monsters. He's just reporting in and is unaware of mother slug creeping up behind him. Started as a weekly blog, but ran over time so took my time.
Using Photoshop and tablet.
Tried to make her look tom boyish with out losing her femininity. She's wears mens work clothes, maybe taking the place of a sibling that died in a mining accident.
Haven't drawn anything for myself in a while so this was good fun and I will post some more soon.

This character design started as a pencil sketch. It has scanned, coloured in Photoshop.
I have been doing a lot of work straight onto the computer using the Wacom tablet (I’m fortunate enough to have got my hands on the Intuos 3) so this was the first sketch I had done on paper for awhile. After blocking out the basic colour I have added three light sources. Then use a photo of rusty metal to texture him up. He is still quite loose and has been produced fairly quickly, half a day on the colouring and the sketch maybe took a couple of hours, but my sketching is progressive so it’s always hard to say that you finished a sketch in an hour, in actual fact elements of the pic have been popping up in your sketch pad for weeks. Still going to tighten him up a little and maybe get one of the blades spinning.
Any way, love to know what people think and where I can or should take it from here.

This is an old sketch which I have finally got around to colouring. Photoshop and a Wacom tablet. Still needs some smoke and some discharged shells lying on the floor but got bored of looking at it, so all crits welcome.

This piece was done completely in Photoshop using a Wacom tablet, no scans or pre sketching. On closer inspection it is still quite loose and has a sketch feel. I don’t know if I will continue with this image but I will definitely expand on the creature.
